High School Musical: The Musical: The Series: The Choosical: The App

Back when I was in the MCBS program, we had an assignment in Gaming and Transmedia Storytelling was to choose a TV show and imagine a mobile app game that could be used to increase the shows viewing audience size. The game itself would be free and is meant to market the show and be directed at the IP Holder.

So I choose my favorite show at the time which was High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. Within the show there is a game called High School Musical: The Choosical created by the character Carlos. I, as well as many other viewers of the show, wish this game was real, so when I got this assignment, I thought let's do it! So I created a mock-up of a bunch of the gameplay and once it was done posted it on Twitter where Tim Federle, the show runner of HSMTMTS, actually liked it!

To create the game I pulled inspiration from the 2000s Nintendo Game for High School Musical and used promotional assets for HSMTMTS such as the official promo images and the lyric videos.
